Ian Campbell Scholarship

Dr Ian Campbell was a founder and former President of the Wellington Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Trust. This scholarship is awarded in recognition of his outstanding service and lasting impact.

Eligibility

Applications are open to individuals committed to tertiary study who require financial assistance for tuition fees, educational equipment, or books. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens and permanent residents of New Zealand. The course of study must align with at least one of the Trust’s objectives.

Application criteria 

  • Applicant has a physical disability or works in the field of physical disability

  • Chosen course of study is clear and approved or likely to be approved. Where applicable, student loans are identified

  • Where applicable academic record is attached

  • Cost of the study, is realistic and verified with supporting information. e.g. quotes

  • Credible Referee Statement is included

  • Medical verification of physical disability provided, where applicable

  • Other sources of funding identified.

Application process

  • The Trust determines the total amount to be distributed annually

  • The Trust determines how many scholarships will be awarded each year

  • Applicants will be notified of the Trust's decision by letter in December.

Applications close on 1 May and 1 November each year.
