Erika-Lee Alldridge is in her third year of the Bachelor of Nursing programme and making solid progress toward her goal of becoming a registered nurse. With support from the Wellington Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Trust, she’s been able to focus on her studies and clinical training without the added pressure of financial stress.
This year’s coursework has included a strong focus on pharmacology and research-based assignments - areas that have helped Erika-Lee strengthen her critical thinking and academic writing. She’s also currently completing a community-based placement, which has been a valuable opportunity to apply theory in real-world settings.
“This placement has helped me grow in confidence and reinforced my commitment to nursing,” Erika-Lee says.
The financial support from the Trust has made a meaningful difference by allowing her to stay on track academically while gaining hands-on experience in primary health care.
“Thank you again for the generous support. It’s made a real impact on my journey so far.”
The Wellington Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Trust is proud to back future health professionals like Erika-Lee, who are quietly working hard to build their skills and contribute to the wellbeing of others.
